ASTM A53 Gr B steel pipe is a carbon steel material that includes carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, copper, nickel, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium. These chemical elements give ASTM A53 Gr B carbon steel pipe excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidizing media in stress-induced environments.

ASTM A53 Gr B steel pipe versatility allows it to be manufactured in seamless, welded or heat dipped nominal grades for bending, flanging and other special operations. In terms of mechanical properties, ASTM A53 Gr B seamless steel pipe exhibits excellent performance with a minimum yield strength of 240MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 415MPa. In addition, the minimum allowable wall thickness at any point of ASTM A53 pipe shall not exceed 12.5% of the specified wall thickness.

Due to its excellent properties, A53 Gr B carbon steel pipe is widely used in a variety of structural and piping applications, including but not limited to anti-static pipes in power plants, natural gas transmission electrical systems and hydroelectric power generation fluid piping, as well as construction and processing machinery parts.
